AbstractPhytoplasmic SAP11 effectors alter host plant architecture and flowering time. However, the exact mechanisms have yet to be elucidated. Two SAP11‐like effectors, SJP1 and SJP2, from ‘Candidatus Phytoplasma ziziphi’ induce shoot branching proliferation.
