Calculated on the Prokaryotic Genome Annotation Pipeline (PGAP) gene set with the Bradyrhizobium CheckM marker set following submission. All statistics were obtained from NCBI. The strain and its species affiliates share high BLAST ANI values and even higher FASTANI values with members of the Bradyrhizobium pachyrhizi species complex that lie in the "grey zone", which includes B. pachyrhizi, B. brasilense, B. australafricanum, as well as other undescribed strains. Within this complex, it shares ANIb values around 95% (calculated with Jspecies) B. brasilense and B. australafricanum, and 96.45% ANIb with BRP56. Multispecies Coalescence and Genealogical concordance support this species as an independently evolving lineage, with the presence of incomplete lineage sorting associated with recent, rapid divergence. Other genome-based lines of evidence (such as pangenome analysis) were also applied that supported this separation.
