Taxonomy

Description
Phylogenetic analyses using several sets of marker genes separate Hodarchaeia from other classes within Asgardarchaeota in our study and several previous analyses. We propose Hodarchaeum as the type genus for the family Hodarchaeaceae and the order Hodarchaeales within the phylum Asgardarchaeota.
