Abstract
This survey presents the first precise records of Leucomigus candidatus candidatus (Pallas, 1781) in Romania, confirming thus the presence of this species almost a century after its first and single record. Furthermore, ecology, habitat preference and distribution are discussed. We illustrate this taxon with high quality macro photographs, including the male genitalia with the everted and inflated endophallus. Comparative plates with similar-looking species are provided. New localities from Roma

Diversity and phylogeny of the tick-borne bacterial genus Candidatus Allocryptoplasma (Anaplasmataceae)

Citation

Names

Abstract
The family Anaplasmataceae includes tick-borne bacteria of major public and veterinary health interest, as best illustrated by members of the genera Anaplasma and Ehrlichia. Recent epidemiological surveys have also reported on the presence of a novel putative genus in the Anaplasmataceae, Candidatus Allocryptoplasma, previously described as Candidatus Cryptoplasma in the western black-legged tick, Ixodes pacificus. However, the genetic diversity of Ca. Allocryptoplasma and its phylogenetic relat

Abstract
This study presents the molecular detection of Candidatus Rickettsia andeanae and Ehrlichia sp. in Amblyomma pseudoconcolor Aragão, 1908 (Acari: Ixodidae) collected on a large hairy armadillo (Chaetophractus villosus (Desmarest, 1804)). On 12 October 2020, a specimen of C. villosus was found dead on the road in Río Negro province, Argentina. Molecular detection of Rickettsia and Ehrlichia agents was performed amplifying the gltA and 16S rRNA gene, respectively. One tick, determined morphological

Abstract

COMPARISON OF A CONVENTIONAL PCR AND QUANTITATIVE REAL TIME PCR (qPCR) ASSAY FOR THE DETECTION OF HUANGLONGBING DISEASE ASSOCIATED WITH ‘CANDIDATUS LIBERIBACTER ASIATICUS’ IN CITRUS VARIETIES

Abstract
Citrus greening or Huanglongbing (HLB) is one of the main devastating citrus diseases worldwide. HLB causing infectious bacterium “Candidatus Liberibacter” is a phloem specific and fastidious agent, having three different species. A comparison of conventional PCR and real-time quantitative PCR (qPCR) was done by universal 16S rDNA marker. In the current study conventional PCR was used to early screening of Candidatus Liberibacter spp and real-time quantitative PCR used for the quantification of
