ABSTRACT
The endosymbiont of
Acanthamoeba
strain UWC8 is an obligate amoeba endosymbiont belonging to the family of “
Candidatus
Midichloriaceae” in
Rickettsiales.
We report here the complete genome sequence of this bacterium, which should catalyze future studies of amoeba-symbiont interactions.
