N.L. neut. n. Acidulidesulfobacterium, referring to the type genus Acidulidesulfobacterium; -aceae, ending to denote a family; N.L. fem. pl. n. Acidulidesulfobacteriaceae, the Acidulidesulfobacterium family
Notes
The name "Acidulodesulfobacteraceae" (sic) was proposed by Tan et al., 2019, and an alternative spelling "Acidulidesulfobacteraceae" (sic) was proposed by Oren, Garrity, 2021 changing "Acidulo-" for "Aciduli-" but using the incomplete stem "bacter-" instead of "bacteri-". This has now been corrected to Acidulidesulfobacteriaceae in the SeqCode Registry to reflect the complete stem from the genus name (bacterium, bacteri-).
