Abstract
Acer negundo L., Citrus limon (L.) Osbeck, Corylus avellana L., Fraxinus excelsior L., H. lupulus, Musa acuminata Col

Adipokinetic hormone signaling mediates the enhanced fecundity of Diaphorina citri infected by ‘Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus’

Abstract
Abstract Diaphorina citri serves as the primary vector for ‘Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus’ (CLas), the bacterium associated with the severe Asian form of huanglongbing. CLas-positive D. citri are more fecund than their CLas-negative counterparts and require extra energy expenditure. Therefore, understanding the molecular mechanisms linking metabolism and reproduction is of particular importance. In this study, we found adipokinetic hormone (DcAKH) and its receptor (DcAKHR) were essential for

Genome reduction and horizontal gene transfer in the evolution of Endomicrobia—rise and fall of an intracellular symbiosis with termite gut flagellates

Abstract
ABSTRACT Bacterial endosymbionts of eukaryotic hosts typically experience massive genome reduction, but the underlying evolutionary processes are often obscured by the lack of free-living relatives. Endomicrobia, a family-level lineage of host-associated bacteria in the phylum Elusimicrobiota that comprises both free-living representatives and endosymbionts of termite gut flagellates, are an excellent model to study e

Metagenome-assembled genome of withering syndrome causative agent, “ Candidatus Xenohaliotis californiensis,“ from endangered white abalone ( Haliotis sorenseni )

Names
Ca. Xenohaliotis californiensis
Abstract
ABSTRACT The genome of “ Candidatus Xenohaliotis californiensis” was assembled from shotgun metagenomic sequencing of experimentally infected white abalone. Ninety-one percent genome completeness was achieved with low contamination. Sequencing this genome provides the opportunity to track pathogen evolution over time, conduct gene expression experiments, and study dynamics between this pathogen and its phage.

Roseiterribacter gracilis gen. nov., sp. nov., a novel filterable alphaproteobacterium isolated from soil using a gel-filled microwell array device

Abstract
Our previous studies indicate the abundant and diverse presence of yet-to-be-cultured microorganisms in the micropore-filtered fractions of various environmental samples. Here, we isolated a novel bacterium (designated as strain TMPK1T) from a 0.45-μm-filtered soil suspension by using a gel-filled microwell array device comprising 900 microwells and characterized its phylogenetic and physiological features. This strain showed low 16S rRNA gene sequence identities (<91%) and low average nucleo
